December 2005 – Choose Your Spiritual Family - “Spamily!”
Overview:
December 2005 brings a deep embodied recognition of global interconnectedness. In short, prepare to realize in your very bones that all the people of this earth are your family. This also leads to a recognition of your own power to choose your own family, your tribe. I call my chosen tribe my “Spamily” which is short for my Spiritual Family!
Energy of the Month:
Your passion drives your attention, and your attention drives your energetic power. This month, the collective energy of shared passion is running under the surface of the earth, connecting people from all over the world together in a web of shared intention. Can you feel your brothers and sisters around the world aching for peace in the same way that you are? Can you feel the women and men of the world longing for freedom in their hearts?
This feeling of interconnectedness runs so deep in our passionate hearts, it overpowers our old ideas of “family” and obligation. We can choose our family, our tribe, as we choose our intention, our focus, our path. This is not about excluding our blood relatives, but rather about rediscovering those connections on a deeper level than our religious, legal, and obligatory ties.
Choosing your tribe may manifest in joining together with people from all walks of life who share your passion and intention. These new families of choice bridge all previous divisions of location, religion, and bloodline. We are a family of Spirit, and it is Spirit that draws and connects us together.
What to Expect & What to Do:
What an amazing opportunity this month to redefine your holiday traditions. Which traditions do you follow from obligation, and which do you follow from passionate desire? Which ones warm your heart and soul? Which ones turn your stomach? Which people do you WANT to be with? Which connections do you anticipate with resentment? You ARE at choice with your relationships and activities, even during the holidays. Get honest with yourself and your tribe, whether they are your blood relatives or your new circle. Honesty will help you come into a Truth that will set you free from holiday stress.
