October 2004 – Journey into the Darkness
Overview:
October 2004 is a time to spiral downward into the deeper self. The energies of October bring reflection and introspection. It is time to reflect on where your fear hides, and how the dark secrets might be brought up into the Light. Are you afraid of the Dark that lives within you? Now is the time to go spelunking in your own Soul’s Cave. Time to dig the skeletons out of the closet and dance with them.
Energy of the Month:
October brings the thinning of the veil, as it does every year. But this year, the dark journey of Samhain/Halloween is accompanied with an even stronger opportunity to bring the deep dark hidden secrets into the shining light.
Consider how many secrets have become known this year… in our government, in our corporate society, in our relationships. The veil of illusion is thinning all year in 2004 – and in October, the thinning veil between the worlds of Spirit and Material just compounds this extraordinary Year of Revelation.
Take advantage of this time by bringing your own secrets to the light. Speak the unspoken words you’ve been withholding. Forgive yourself the sins of the past. Recognize that the human experience is a grand experiment, and the Universe holds no judgment for your choices. The Age of the Judgmental Wrathful God is coming to a close. The ever-forgiving Spirit holds only Love. And the only one judging you is you.
What to Expect:
Memories of dark times past may revisit you. Do not block them. Observe them from a place of peace and curiosity. You don’t need to relive the trauma to release it.
As the veil thins, you may See more than usual.
Secrets are being revealed. It’s time to share them by choice with an open heart.
What to Do:
Acknowledge your dark parts – the parts of you that you typically hide.
Listen to your dark parts – they are just parts of you you’ve chosen to submerge.
You can listen to your dark parts without handing over control to them.
The more you know about your dark parts, the closer you are to integration and balance.
Restate your Intention to Spirit to work for the Highest Good in all things.

I acknowledge my fear-filled feelings and memories, thank them for serving
me, and let them go.
I am in balance with my Dark and my Light, and I choose to use both for the
Highest Good.
I am ready to live in the wholeness of Truth, without denial or fear.
